Control by Bernardo Henning

Recognized for his colorful, psychedelic collages in the digital universe and graphic work with Adobe, Dior, Estée Lauder, Coca-Cola and Spotify, “Control” aims to build discussion around the definitions between art and design that tend to limit an artist’s creative process.

Appreciating the order and chaos of producing art, Henning demonstrates the uncertainties of the creative process by leading the exhibition with a large hand-painted canvas with the phrase, “The worst thing that happened to me as an artist is being a designer.” The traditional canvas as a starting point represents his perspective on the unpredictable routes that are restricted by the functionalism of his training as a Graphic Designer.
